Alternate Dice Systems
Level One RPG » Devlog
Last playtest was quite good, but playing over Discord with a dice roller was a bit of a pain - it really took us out of the game each time as we had to type the commands (which were somewhat complicated with the dice roller bot) and we kept getting typos, and the shift to a statistics minigame for every resolution just isn’t ideal for everyone.
We added several alternate systems, including a single die roll, a simple pool vaguely like shadowrun or WoD games, a “best of” pool with crits, a one-die-per-factor option slightly reminiscent of Cortex, and a Diceless option that might make some think of Amber.
There’s also more artwork and a good bit of clarification.
